Biography
I am an integrative therapist with a strong foundation in Humanistic approaches, mainly rooted in Person-Centered Therapy. I also utilize Choice Theory/Reality Therapy and other modalities depending on the needs of the client.
Using myself to create a deep connection and a healing relationship in the therapy space, I aim to deliver my clients a warm, caring, non-judgmental and safe environment from where change can begin to emerge.
I work with individuals and couples presenting to therapy with a variety of problem situations, including self-esteem, relationship and intimacy difficulties, co-dependency, stress and uncertainty, anxiety, panic attacks, depression including postnatal depression, loss and bereavement, life transitions, childhood trauma, body dysmorphia and eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, addictions and more.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and a pre-accredited member of IACP. I abide by the IACP Code of Ethics which sets out the guidelines for ethical best practice for counsellors. I also engage in continuous professional development and regular clinical supervision to improve and review my efficacy in providing a quality counselling service to my clients.
My aim as a therapist is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to
help people recover and enhance their emotional well-being.
