Biography

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and I am a pre-accredited member of IACP. I have full indemnity insurance and am fully committed to strict adherence of the IACP code pf ethics. I passionately believe that every individual holds the key within themselves to overcome psychological distress. I encourage my clients to discover their own autonomy and freedom of choice which promotes positive behavioural growth and development. I am committed to on-going and regular training in order to provide my clients with the best support and therapies available.

While my work is underpinned by person-centred therapy, I believe that every client can collaborate with their therapist to determine the nature and structure of their therapy.

My experience includes working with those presenting with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, addiction and relationship issues. I have particular interest in the area of suicide ideation, prevention and intervention and self-harm.

I maintain a Holistic approach to my clients and I consider each client as a whole person, taking into consideration psychological, physical and social factors, paying particular attention to the spiritual and social needs of the client, allowing for personal growth.

I have worked for many years in the gambling industry at managerial level and returned to education to complete this degree. I am passionate about people and remain committed to the positive outcomes that therapy can provide.
